Research Data Alliance United States (RDA-US) is a national RDA node dedicated to representing emerging research and data management communities throughout the United States. RDA-US will operate as a formal participant of the RDA Region of the Americas and RDA Working and Interest Groups, assisting in the adoption of RDA recommendations, and allowing United States stakeholders to benefit directly from RDA support mechanisms. These new connections will bring key United States issues to the global data management table, and global discussions back to the United States. Newsletters and Webinars are below.

RDA-US UPDATES

  • January 2024

    • RDA-US TIGRUS Program Updates
Announced during Plenary 21, the Targeted International Working GRoups – US Program, TIGRUS, is officially launched and underway at RDA-US. This update provides details about the direction of the Program, leadership, and how to become involved.

  • October 2023

    • RDA-US AnnouncesTIGRUS Facilitation Program

US research projects focused on enhancing data availability for research could benefit from engagement with global colleagues through RDA. RDA-US is positioned to help form international working groups to establish consensus recommendations that may then fasttrack to actual standards (work in progress). To address this need, RDA-US is launching TIGRUS: Targeted International working GRoup – US Program, a facilitation program focused on developing consensus on solutions to US-specific challenges that would benefit from international collaboration. TIGRUS will help form, launch, and support 12-18 month working group campaigns that result in timely, well-informed standards, protocols, and best practices in research data infrastructure and software reflecting a broad range of expertise and use cases.
