SkyBlock Patch Notes 0.19.8 - Winter Update and Secret Bingo

► Jerry’s Workshop[]

It’s that magical time of year again! The air is crisp and chilly, the streets twinkle with festive lights, people are bustling with holiday saplings, and SkyBlock has a new Jerry’s Workshop patch!

Like each December, we have a look at our Winter content and improve what needs improving. Here’s what we have done this year:

The festivities begin now! Explore the island's winter wonderland throughout the month.

2023 Advent Calendar[]

Similarly to last year's Advent Calendar, players will be able to claim a gift reward every day of December until the 25th.

This year, you can also claim a second and third daily reward by playing SkyBlock each day and gifting other players!

Meet Generow, the Gift-Master Penguin[]

Generow, our charming new NPC on Jerry's Workshop, is here to spread the joy of giving.

The more unique players you donate gifts to during the month of December, the more milestones you’ll reach in Generow. The new rewards include:

Frozen Bait (an improved version of Ice Bait)
Gift of Learning (Soulbound item letting you choose a skill to gain EXP in)
A way to obtain Einary’s Abiphone contact
A unique Memento item
A new emblem
Many, many gifts!

Generow will vanish from the face of SkyBlock in early 2024, so don’t forget to claim your rewards!

New Bottles of Jyrre[]

Everybody’s favorite item(?) is back!

But this time it’s actually good.

Old Bottles of Jyrre you may own are now legacy items.
Once maxed, the new bottle of Jyrre evolves and can grant you a permanent 1 Intelligence, and 2 SkyBlock XP.
You can only obtain that permanent buff 5 times.
It takes a total of 300 hours to max it out, and all you have to do is keep it in your inventory.
The Bottle does not reset anymore if you place it in a chest.
Oruo increments the timer of the Bottle by 1 full hour each time you complete his puzzle.
The Old Bottles of Jyrre are now removed from Sherry’s Shop, and you can obtain the new ones from gifts.

New Boss Fight Reward[]

The final gift pile of every Battle of Jerry Mountain event will now grant a Volcanic Rock if the pile was intact.You can now use the Volcanic Rock in Einary’s Shop to purchase new items:

A new Ultimate Enchant: Refrigerate!
A Magic Top Hat (used to upgrade the Snowman Pet to Mythic)
Winter Fragments (used to upgrade the Yeti Sword, Glacial Scythe, and Ice Spray Wand.

Other Winter Changes[]

There are now more Gifts being rewarded in each Gift Pile during the main Event.
The Ice Essence Shop has a new perk, allowing you to increase the Odds to find a Reindrake
The Reindrake is 50% more likely to be found by default
The Glacial Cave loot table now includes new items, such as the Frozen Bait and Einary’s Red Hoodie.
The smallest Gift and EXP rewards from gifts have been removed, to increase their value.

► Secret Bingo[]

To celebrate the 2nd anniversary of SkyBlock Bingo, a special Secret Bingo is being held in December! To complete this bingo, you must figure out the goals and complete them. Do you have the smarts to find the solutions? Talk to Bingo in the SkyBlock Hub to get started!

Here’s some top-secret information that could be useful:

Secret Bingo is considered a special Bingo card! This means:
- Secret Bingo will last for 14 days.
- The points awarded for each goal and row/column completion is double the regular amount.
The names of Personal Goals will be revealed once the Bingo event starts.
- The names of Community Goals have been revealed in advance for you to strategize. Good luck!!
Three hints will be released for each Bingo goal over the course of the event.
- Hint reveals are staggered per hour, they are not all revealed at once.
- Hovering over a goal will tell you which hints are already revealed and when the next hint reveal will occur for that goal.

General Changes and Enhancements[]

Added an autopet kill entity rule for Mythological Creatures.
Added an autopet kill entity rule for Sea Creatures.
Swappable skins (such as Gemstone Divan) now open a menu, instead of having to spend a century cycling through each skin.
Swappable skins can now have each individual skin previewed while it's in the Community Shop.
Added the Alchemist as an Abiphone Contact.
Added /warp trap as an alias for the Trapper's Den.
Added a warning when picking up a minion with consumable fuel.
Added a message when unlocking a new Guide Tier in the SkyBlock Guide.
You can now hover over the header of the salvage text in chat to view a list of the items you salvaged.
Added Flaming Sword as a 1% drop chance from Redstone Pigman.
Buffed the amount of Ice Walker spawns.
Replaced the “Coming Soon” items in collections with Skill XP.
They will no longer be coming soon.
Gold Forger now asks for 1024 Golden Carrots instead of 1028.
Some accessories have been made soulbound instead of co-op soulbound,
This is introduced prevent co-op members from being able to bypass content because their co-op members trade them a talisman from some questline that they have not done.
The museum zone has been adjusted to be slightly lower to not interfere with Diana burrow digging.
Renamed the Ink Sack category in the Bazaar to Ink Sac to match the items within it.

Item Changes and Fixes[]

Added a Jasper gemstone slot to the upgraded (fragged) version of Shadow Assassin Armor to fix an issue where Jasper gemstones are deleted upon upgrading the armor.
Fixed Sorrow armor not giving the correct duration of invisibility.
Fixed being able to teleport through locked Dungeon doors with Shadow Fury ability.
Fixed losing an Archfiend Dice if a player left the server while it was rolling.
Fixed the Bone Reaver and the Zombie Sword items sharing the same charge cooldowns.
Fixed Dark Candy not being able to go in the Trick or Treat bag.
Fixed Master Stars not being applicable on Dungeon equipment.
Fixed being able to apply enchantments to items with base enchantments like the Rookie Pickaxe.
Fixed an item swap exploit with Smite and the Bonemerang.
Lore, Description, and Visual Improvements
Fixed name of Ender Armor Set in Museum.
Fixed the formatting of The One enchantment lore.
Fixed a small issue with roof on default Garden barn.

Combat Fixes[]

Fixed Lion pet First Pounce perk not working as intended.
Fixed the 'You only have X flint arrows left in your Quiver!' message appearing when the player is not using Flint Arrows.

Mining Fixes[]

Fixed an issue where some players couldn't complete the Crystal Nucleus.
Fixed a weird case where the Jade Crystal would not appear in the Mines of Divan if the player left the server before picking it up.
Fixed the Crystal Vault hologram disappearing from the Crystal Nucleus when everyone left the zone after server boot.
Fixed Sky Mall perks not rotating if the player was outside of a Mining Island. Players will get a notification about their Sky Mall outside of Mining Islands.
Added some extra wording to the Sky Mall message reflecting this change.
Fixed the color of the Crystal Hollows in the game being mixed, it is now always dark purple.
Fixed Fetchur accepting any rocket-material item for firework rocket tasks.

Farming Fixes[]

Fixed items being compacted before being replanted, resulting in some blocks not being replanted.
Fixed Vacuums not being able to work through some blocks.
Fixed misleading text about pelts.

Fishing Fixes[]

Fixed Expertise enchantment not levelling up the fishing rod that was used to fish the Sea Creature.

Misc. Fixes[]

Fixed being able to mount other player's pets.
Fixed being able to equip spawned pig pets with a saddle.
Fixed not being able to take some items back out of furnaces without breaking the furnace.
Fixed some non-vanilla items being smeltable in furnaces.
Fixed some non-vanilla items being able to be used as furnace fuel.
Fixed fire ticks not being reset when the player entered the Matriarch.
Fixed the Pickobulus pick ability being able to break End Portal Frames.
Fixed the Bee Pet's absorption still being active when entering a Dojo Challenge.
Fixed Primal Fears being able to spawn in some Dojo challenges.
Fixed the Experimentation Table not rewarding Fame when the player used Bits to renew it.
Fixed being able to put a lead on Iron Golems and then take them on a magical journey.
Fixed guests being able to pick up candy from the Spooky Tree on player's private islands.

User Interface and Messaging Fixes[]

Fixed auction time incorrectly being set to 1 minute when entering an invalid duration.
Fixed the Bazaar manage orders description showing the incorrect value.
Fixed Commissions and Slayers listing bits in their rewards even when the player didn't have a cookie buff active.
